I’m not having notification issues, and I do like the look of the new header, but I think it still needs some work.

For one thing, I see that it’s been added to the existing header instead of replacing it. The new one doesn’t actually add any functionality, though. Despite its small size, it actually adds more clutter to the page.

Also, its main blog quick links are redundant, and are still visible in the old header. I see that the user menu has been transferred out of the old header, and into the new one.

But my chief concern right now is that the search function in the old header is not working. I don’t see the feature incorporated into the new header, either...

It’s in the dropdown menu when you click on your avatar (that is somewhere in the top right of the black bar now). Which is great when your avatar happens to be dark. Kinja being racist again.

After three days of issues trying to post comments, etc... we’ve now got the new bar along the top which shows if I’ve got notifications, but only half of the image, so I can there are some, but not how many till I click on it and the notifications drop down.

Can people please stop fannying about with the site, yes fix it if it’s broken but leave what’s working alone.

Ye’n trying to add a picture lately boils my pi55, the image goes up, click ‘publish’ (which goes from blue to grey and stays that ruddy way). You think hey it’ll do it so you go to go back to the previous page or click on home and then the box of doom opens, ‘do you want to leave this page, unsaved text will be lost, continue?’. Aaarrgghhh.....

Argh yes. You had me thinking okay, he’s replied to another thread in this thread but then I thought, you’d notice if you did that, then I thought I was loosing it.

I think tomorrow's breakfast will be one of two of the U.K.s national dishes, fish and chips with mushy peas and some ale or chicken tikka masala, steamed white rice, onion bhajis, one naan, a couple of samosas, chicken tikka swewers and some Guinness Golden Ale.
